This apartment has a special role: the family lives in another country and flies to Dubai for the season. A holiday home is its own genre: most of the year it waits for its owners, yet it must welcome them as if they never left.

Over 5 months we fully renewed the interior. Exclusive furniture, commissioned artwork and displays — but luxury without being a museum: there are two children here, so beauty has to withstand real life. Practical solutions where they run and play, statement ones where the family gathers. Three bedrooms — three characters: quiet for the parents, their own world for the kids.

The MEP systems are designed and tuned so that, despite the long absence, when the family lands in Dubai all that's left is to open the door — and be home. No getting used to unfamiliar walls; it feels like home at once.
